Day 1 introduces the first set of choices for Kentucky.You will select from riders competing across the opening classes, contributing to the formation of the Kentucky Fantasy Team.
Today’s options:
Mark Bluman and Landon De Nyze delivered a decisive performance to take the $62,500 5* Qualifier and open Leg 8. The pair produced a quick and efficient round, stopping the clock more than a second ahead of the field. The victory marks their second 5* Qualifier win of Season 5, continuing a consistent run of form for the combination.
Germany’s Rene Dittmer and Corsica X followed in second place, posting a composed double-clear effort in 39.46 seconds. The pair maintained a strong pace throughout the jump-off, securing another top result against a competitive field.
Reigning Olympic champion Christian Kukuk set the tone early aboard Award Tivoli Z. First to go, the pair delivered a controlled double-clear round that ultimately held for third place, establishing a benchmark for the class from the beginning.
Roberto Teran Tafur, representing Team Helios, piloted the experienced DSP Callas to one of the quicker jump-off rounds of the night, stopping the clock at 41.24 seconds. A single rail, however, dropped the pair to fourth place despite the competitive time.
World No. 10 Laura Kraut and Una Mariposa rounded out the top five. A steady performance with one rail down saw the pair finish on a time of 43.10 seconds, adding another consistent result to Kraut’s Season 5 campaign.
