Thursday: Farrington Strikes First
World No. 1 Kent Farrington opened Toronto with victory in the $63,000 BFL Canada 5* Qualifier aboard Myla. Stopping the clock in 31.05 seconds, he edged Ireland’s Jordan Coyle by just over half a second in a razor-tight jump-off. The result marked Farrington’s second major win of the young season and immediately boosted Team KPF up the standings, reinforcing how critical the Qualifier has become under the new scoring structure.

Friday: Maccabi United Make Their Move
The $312,500 Cabana Coast 5* Team Competition unfolded under electric night conditions, and Maccabi United delivered when it mattered most. Anchored by Daniel Bluman alongside Mark Bluman and Thaisa Erwin, the team secured gold after a decisive medal round performance. The victory not only marked a statement result for the franchise but significantly tightened the overall standings, with margins separating the top teams by only a handful of points heading into Saturday.

Saturday: Bluman Claims the Crown
Saturday’s $340,000 Kubota 5* Grand Prix produced the defining moment of the weekend. Daniel Bluman returned to the top of the podium aboard Corbie V.V., stopping the clock in 44.33 seconds to edge Farrington by a tenth of a second in an eight-horse jump-off. The win, his third 5* Grand Prix triumph in Toronto, propelled Maccabi United to the top of the Season 5 team standings and secured the $50,000 franchise bonus for the leg.

Momentum Built
Toronto delivered exactly what Leg 2 had promised: pressure, rivalry, and a decisive shift at the top of the standings. Maccabi United left Canada in the lead, with the Trailblazers and Helios close behind, tightening the championship picture earlier in the season. Individual honours also took shape that weekend, as fan voting highlighted standout performances and equine excellence under the lights.
Two legs were complete. The intensity had already begun to rise.
From there, Season 5 moved on to Leg 3 at CSI Greenwich, where the standings faced another decisive test: momentum that ultimately carried us toward the final stretch and now we are ready for the last two legs of the championship.
