La Contessa, a 10-year-old mare, has quickly established herself as one of the most consistent horses on the Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) tour
In July, she captured the CSIO3* 1.55m Grand Prix at Caledon and, with rider Marilyn Little, anchored Team USA to victory in the CSIO3* Nations Cup that same week.
Since stepping into the 1.60m ranks earlier this year, she has maintained a 60% top-10 finish rate at the highest level, while at 1.55m her strike rate climbs to 75%. That form carried straight into the MLSJ season, where she jumped double clear to help the Rainmakers secure their first-ever podium in Toronto and has delivered clear rounds in both MLSJ Grand Prix events so far.
Voted Horse of the Week for Toronto, La Contessa pairs scope with composure and has proven she can deliver on the biggest stages
As the season unfolds, she looks poised to be a major player in both the individual and team series.
